Transfer Modes of Container Transportation

1. According to the delivery place of goods, there are 9 kinds:

Door to door

From the shipper's warehouse or factory warehouse to the consignee's warehouse or factory warehouse;

Door to CY

The storage yard from the shipper's warehouse or factory warehouse to the destination or unloading port;

Door to CFS

The container freight station from the shipper's warehouse or factory warehouse to the destination or unloading port;

CY to door

From the storage yard at the place of shipment or the packing port to the consignee's warehouse or factory warehouse;

CY to CY

From the storage yard at the place of departure or the packing port to the storage yard at the destination or the unloading port;

CY to CFS

From the storage yard of the place of departure or the packing port to the container freight station of the destination or the unloading port;

CFS to door

From the container freight station at the place of departure or the packing port to the consignee's warehouse or factory warehouse;

Station arrival (CFS to CY)

From the container freight station at the place of departure or the port of loading to the storage yard at the port of destination or the port of unloading;

Station to station (CFS to CFS)

From the container freight station at the place of departure or the port of loading to the container freight station at the port of destination or the port of unloading.

2. There are two handover methods according to the freight volume:

Full container load (FCL)

Where a batch of goods reaches 75% or more of the content product of one or more containers or 95% or more of the load weight of containers, it can be regarded as a full container.

Less than container load (LCL)

Cargo that is less than the volume or weight of a full container, that is, cargo that requires two or more batches of the same container, is called LCL cargo.
